I am sure you will do fine going back to work.
My work has been awesome to me, they close a toilet for a week after each Chemo for my use only & have not blinked an eye to any appointment/test time I might have had, even when its at the very inconvenient end of month! They have been a tower of strength for me (along with my husband 7 boys). Yes, I have to say work is one of my 'Happy Places', keeps my mind active & occupied.
