Finger and Toe Nails

Hi Everyone, I know I have spoken to you all about this before but.......I am 4 weeks post chemo and my toe and finger nails are great!  In fact they are even stronger than ever ! I have been giving them a ridiculous amount of attention though....
Anyway......am I just kidding myself that I’ve avoided the nail drama of chemo or could they still turn to poo ? Lol.

  • Thankyou everyone. I will continue to remain positive about my nails but won’t be surprised if something yucky happens.
I have had pretty much everything else so it would be nice to dodge one bullet! Here’s hoping......

  • My nails were good until about my 3rd round and then the brown marks appeared and my already shit nails got shitter

eyelashes stayed until after my chemo and I noticed about 2 weeks ago about half on my left eye (cancer side) are now missing of course in clumps so I have 3 or 4 normal lashes and then a patch with few stumpy ones or none at all and the pattern continues across my eye. It’s a great look. Can just see I’ll wake up Christmas morning and have no eyebrows or something equally fantastic
  • What were left of mine got ripped out by thoughtless eye taping during my BMX & recon op... I was not happy.  :#
  • No problems with nails but I thought I had also dodged the eyelash thing until they fell out a month after chemo.  Didn't see that one coming.  Just like a box of chocolates huh?
  • Mine fell off ages after chemo but I could see they were in trouble during chemo. We all react differently so you may have dodged a bullet! My fingernails are still struggling. I've always had really strong nails. I so hope they come good.
  • First law of chemo...almost nothing happens the way you plan! You may be just fine, well done. But it's also just possible that something else you hadn't thought of will sneak in. It's all to keep you on your toes!! Just in case you forget you are having treatment😊.
