I haven't had chemo but post surgery it turned out the ondansatron given for nausea was what gave me the worst headache. I had it for days. Did not realise until discharge that it definitely was that.
They say day by day but really I found it hour by hour. Sometimes I was quite good and a few hours later, down again. Good news is the Pilbara mouth isn't as bad in dryness the second round. By then you will be on to tons of water and those little refrigerated Yakult pro-biotic drinks from the supermarket good too.

It's crap. Hopefully because it has come on quick it will finish quickly. If it doesn't settle call the hospital as they may be able to suggest something to help. Hang in there and take care. Karen xox
Hi Tracy- I had INCREDIBLY BAD headaches/ migraines with my first chemo... Couldn't have my eyes open for more than 20mins at a time and couldn't stand light... Turns out it was the ordansetron 8mg that gave them to me so keep an eye on that... They dropped me to 4mg and it was so much better and I only noticed a little more nausea without with but relief from the headache was worth it! Good luck! x
