Docetaxol Yuk!

Coming to the end of my chemo and struggling. Had doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide every 3 weeks for 3 months then started on a course of taxol for 12 weeks. Neuropathy became too bad so oncologist changed medication to docetaxol every three weeks. I have just had my second (and last) dose of it. Feel horrible. Terrible taste in mouth constipation followed by stomach cramps and diarrhoea, nausea and shooting pains in bones muscles and joints. Have a cold too which isn’t helping.
Are these side effects common with docetaxol. Also had an injection to make by bone marrow produce more white blood cells which could be contributing to bone pain.
But.... so grateful it was my last one. Have worked partine some weeks but now taking leave because I feel totally spent and need to get my head together.

- Interesting about the eyes, @kmakm. I'm on Doxyrubicin and Cyclophosmamide and one of the side effects that I'm reporting to the onc today is about eyesight issues. Day 2 I noticed a deterioration (slight darkness and blurring) meaning that I had to wear glasses for stuff I wouldn't normally. It cleared up on Day 17. So, maybe the Cyclo or just something in common with the others.

- Hi @Joannie. I've stepped up the constipation treatment and am having a little more success. Saw the GP today and she's advised Coloxyl too so I've got some now. Taking one shortly!
@duxx1234 I had gritty eyes & was a bit light sensitive for several days on my second round of Docetaxal & Cyclophosphamide. It was uncomfortable enough that I got some eye drops, which helped a lot. Coming up to that time in Round 3 and will be interested to see if it happens again. - Thanks @Joannie Yes, some weird side effects that’s for sure. The ringing in the ears sounds pretty awful. My eyes are also watery!
- Today I had my third out of four AC cycles. Has anyone experienced painful eyes and photophobia? It kicks in virtually as soon as I get home and lasts for a couple of days then the other side effects kick in!! I also developed a floater in my left eye after first AC which may or may not be associated with the chemo.
