Digestion problems

I finished all my treatment in November of 2010 and I have been having ongoing diestion problems similar to gluten intolerance.. I have had a blood test showing that it is unlikely that I have gluten intolerance so now I am at a loss as to why I continue to get stomach cramps and diorea and constipation after I eat gluten and fatty oily foods... I can't seem to pinpoint particular foods that set me off. Does anyone else have this same problem???

  • What a lovely profile pic.  I have suffered tummy problems since puberty.  I am now nearly 55 so it is a lifetime.  I had all the tests a long time ago and it showed IBS.  However if I eliminate gluten and lactose from my diet I have a much better quality of life.  It makes for an interesting diet and is really hard when I am away from home.  My two daughters also suffer from the same complaint.  One daughter has been diagnosed with Coelic disease so it is highly likely that I am as well (but it has never shown up on tests).  I can't blame the treatment but chemo does some funny things to our bodies.  When you next visit your GP it might be worth asking to have some tests done.  Sorry I couldn't be more helpful to your case.  XLeonie
