Controlling the coughing?

Hi Maxine, so glad the antibiotic is helping abit, it is do annoying. I have a rad too and it is driving me insane. Bought some Sigmacort cream - 1% or ointment and it is relieving the itchiness a lot. I am in hospital st the moment, had fluid drained by a Thoracic surgeon, so painful. My coughing has stopped since they started draining the fluid. Do try that cream or ointment it does help. Will chat later. Cheers Desi

Hi Desi have had antibiotic and now on cough medicine which is helping but now have a rash and scratching like mad but taken telfast for that so hope the cough stays as is. I thought perhaps I had more fluid as well but they keep telling me my chest is clear. Hope all goes well for you. Maxine

Hi Maxine, how are you doing with the Afinitor ? I am going into hospital on Monday to have the fluid drained again for the 3rd time. Are you still getting side affects with the Afinitor? Cheers Desiree

Hi Maxine, glad i found you too. The coughing is the worst. Seeing my onco in two weeks and he did mention that he will half my dosage to 5mg, hopefully that will sort out some of the side affects. Take care and let me know how you progress. Cheers Desiree

Hi Desi so glad to find someone else with the same condition as me, I' ve only had fluid drained once and hope I don't have to again, I live in Ballarat Vic and I don't think the cold weather is doing the cough any good. Maxine

I am having exactly the same problem, the coughing is terrible. i have tumours on the lung and liver too. I have had fluid drained twice from my lungs and was told on Friday that there is more. I am seeing a lung surgeon on Thursday so hopefully he can help. I am always out of breath and have lost my appetite. Which state do you live in?
