Constant pins and needles

Hi ladies,
after 3 taxols I started getting symptoms of peripheral neuropathy so my Med Onc dropped the dose to 80% for the remainder. The symptoms disappeared and I finished chemo at the beginning of April.
but in the last wk or so I keep getting pins and needles in my arms and left leg. But since Saturday they are now constant and im getting a bit of a burning sensation on the back on my left arm and up the left side of my neck. Would this be related to the chemo?
Anyone know anything that helps?
thanks x

  • Glad your review is being brought forward - maybe nothing but been reading l-glutamine has been helpful treating peripheral neuropathy in cancer patients -might be worth a chat with your medical team to see what they think
  • They have ordered some bloods so will see what they say
  • Thanks @iserbrown my Rad Onc is calling my Med Onc to see about bringing my review forward (02/07) if it doesn’t let up I will ask for further investigations

  • Mine drove me nuts, pain and constant pins and needles up and down the left arm and it turned out it was deferred pain - went through weeks of physio but no relief and eventually to a neuro and surgery...…………...not that I am suggesting that is your problem however I can't emphasise enough not to let it go as it can be looked at and assessed with a course of physio perhaps...……………….
  • I am someone who has had spinal surgery (C4-C5) so my advice to you would be please don't ignore and assume it is chemo related - get it checked out by your GP.
