Chemo 4, two weeks since the final dose.

Chemo 4, two weeks since the final dose. I thought I was home free but once again side affects step to the fore. Last time I lost all the skin under my feet but it was a gradual peeling thing with no pain at all and creams seemed to help. This time I have like a burning and in one spot it runs along the side of my toe right back to my instep like really bad red sunburn. My breast nurse said to watch my temperature for any infection and get antibiotics fast if it’s bad but thankfully my temp is down today but I still have the burns on my feet. No blistering thank goodness but it is grossly annoying that I am sidelined from going on walks for a few days. I’m like a horse in the starting box, now? No, now? No.

  • Tamoxifen is next month. Not looking forward to it. Since I was on the cusp of menopause he said perhaps 2 years of that one.

  • Burning foot, around big toe - for me it is one of the joyous side effects of Tamoxifen!

  • Sorry to hear about your feet Brenda, Just lie back & rest & you will soon be walking the dogs on the beach again.

    Sending BIG hugs.

  • Sorry the side effects are still giving you troubles Brenda :(

Not long now and it'll all be behind you! Rest up and you'll be galloping out of that starting box in no time...

    Best wishes
