Arimidex
I have been reading through the blogs about Arimidex and found them very interesting. I have been on Arimidex for 6 months and up until 4 weeks ago, "side affects free" - until now that is.
I now have what appears to be the usual aches and pains in the legs and numbness in the hands, tiredness and headaches, so I guess I didn't escape at all I am just like all my other Arimidex sisters.
I will have to mention this to my oc next visit, but as so many others have said before at least I am here reading the experiences of others. It does help.

Hi Vicki.
I have have allergy tests and Ithey did show up quite a few allergies and also saw an allergy Specialist who said that my symptoms were idiopathic. I developed chronic urticuria twenty-two years ago after suffering epstein barr vius and ross River virus and every time my immunity is down I break down in hives which used to be every day but thankfully this time I had a break of a few Months so hopefully they will get out of my system because being on such high doses of cortisone does nothing for my weight as well as taking the Arimidex.

You know what, I would suggest it would be worth it to have an allergy test done. Not sure how much it costs by the do a whole range of pricks on the skin and test for numerous allergies, but you could request one that covers crustaceans and that way you would have an idea as to whether you could take the above.

Sign in to react to this post Thanks so much for the warning, Vicki. I have chronic urticuria and suffering with it badly at present so I have to be very careful what I take. At the moment I am on 75mgs. of prednisone and 2 anti-histamines. I do not like prednisone one little bit, but when you get a reaction as bad as I get it's the only thing that works. It doesn't help having a weak immune system. onsidering taking krill oil but I don't want to take the chance.

I have read with interest the comments regarding fish oil and green lipped muscle. I started to take the GLM for aching joints, (which I might like to point out i did not know at that time was caused by the Arimadex) and found myself feeling really ill after the second bottle, so i changed to Krill Oil 1000, this sent my blood pressure through the roof, and then I remembered that I was alergic to crustaceans and both of these product are just that, so I stopped taking the Krill and watched my BP gradually get back to normal. The GP agreed with me that people should be made aware of alergic reactions. I have now seen a warning on Krill, so I guess if you are not allergic then no fear. I might add I do eat prawns and love crayfish, but yes if I have a couple of prawns I soon remember how silly I am.

- KathleenTMemberHi all I haven't been on here for a while-I should be checking in more often. I'm going quite good generally: able to spend a day each week looking after my gorgeous grandson, and generally getting on with things, but not back at work yet. I went and bought a rather lovely silk-filled duvet, thinking it might be a better way of dealing with the night sweating Arimidex is responsible for. It worked one night, but now I'm back with my "layers". Huge shame because sleeping under the silk is gorgeous! I'd researched it, and the difference between it and feather and down duvets is that the silk doesn't trap heat once you're warm: it breathes. Anyway I'll give it another turn as it gets colder (never cold enough for me, lol!) So has anyone come across anything that helps alleviate the night drenchings? Love to hear Kathleen xxSign in to react to this post
