Quality is a big thing when you are getting to the pointy end of life @janetg. When it comes to preventative medicine, the science may exist but the diagnostics suck and the side effects are miserable. It's such a lottery.
Personally, I can't afford to live into old age in any comfort. That's a big consideration now that I understand how crap the drugs that might, and it's a big might, extend my life make me feel. I've already had a recurrence, I'll have another, it's just a matter of when. And how I spend the intervening time.
