After I changed from Femara to Aromasin the knee pain went but my hands were so painful I couldn't do anything! My husband had to help doing up buttons and any jars or bottles or even the kettle were beyond me. Took two hands to hold a cup! So back to onc and this time I'm on Tamoxifen - now I just ache everywhere and am still tired all the time (just as with the other two drugs) and still sweating like crazy (just as before too), not a good look when you live in the tropics. And although not ready to kill everyone as before I am still up for a fight at the drop of a hat - as my poor husband will attest to. So now I am considering going solo - no drugs at all. Both my cancers (2005 - HER2- and 2015 - hormone receptive) were removed and lymphnodes were clear and given that I'm almost 70 years old I don't want to feel like this for another 3 years. When I asked about why I got it again last time I was told this time was completely different type of breast cancer and that can happen at any time. Given the number of different types there are - and that it was 10 years between occurrences what am I suffering for?! Anyway see my onc next month again and will have it out with him. Given that lifemath.net only gives me 100 days life extension for taking Tamoxifen I'm beginning to wonder if its worth the trouble. Sigh, sob.
