Any ideas ?? ... Tamoxifen drives me crazy

Well, saw my onc a couple of weeks ago and with his approval I am now off the Tamoxifen - at least for 6 months.  This is as a result of my last 2 blood tests showing my platelets have bombed!  Got sent for another blood test just in case there was an error with the first, but same result.  So now I am seeing a haematologist too - to find out why!  Had another blood test last week and see the haemo on Thursday, and given that I stopped Tamox  a couple of weeks ago he seemed to think that if the platelets have begun to climb back it will be an indication that the tamox is to blame. Oh dear, nothing is simple anymore is it? Just another side effect that they don't tell you about.  Anyway, on the up side since stopping tamox I am already beginning to feel more like the old me, and even my husband says he notices the difference already - so that at least is a plus.  Will await the results of the huge batch of blood tests I had done last week, and the CT scan (and I know what that's looking for) that I have Thursday morning before seeing the haemo guy, and decide whether to laugh or cry depending on the outcome!  Life is so exciting isn't it! I gave up Tamoxifen last December, after going on a Tamoxifen holiday for a month. It caused Endometrial Hyperplasia and has led to a number of operations and ongoing health issues for 6 months and an increase in the chance of getting uterine cancer. I was on Tamoxifen for 1 year. I think doctors should discuss the risks associated with Tamoxifen when recommending it. This condition is worse than breast cancer treatment, including chemo and radio, and could have been avoided.

I'm still fighting the 'Lantana Jungle' and it helps me a lot ;) I love to be out in the garden and do this work.
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to write this here .... but for me, I found an amazing nutritional supplement what helps me to keep the side effects at bay. I can't say all the side effects are gone, but it is much better than before.

@Ki  thank you for your support and sharing your experiences! I like your bucket list of goals. I have been always trying to be as active as possible. I go to gym about 3 times a week, and I work 3 days a week. I always very focus at work. I am a nurse, I give out as much as I can  and give the best care as possible to my patients and their families. I feel great reward when I walk out at the end of each shift. I will head to my very last shift today before my double mastectomy. I try not to worry about Tamoxifen now.

Butterfly40 take each day as it comes. Every body reacts in a different way. I have found I can deal with the side affects. I try to be as active as possible. I always have my bucket list of goals to achieve and celebrate each achievement. I have been lucky with a supportive family and friends we have had so much fun with my bucket list of goals. 

Wow the fun to come. I had my mastectomy yesterday. Was to have sentinel node biopsy too but surgeon later rild me this morning he had to take a few as were enlarged. Dont know if this suggests lymph involvement but i guesd if so it suggests chemo?  I have a already been told as hormone pos will need to go on hormone therapy. Started with an A is all i remember. Now everything i have heard so far says that pretty much all of them cause joint pain. I see here that exercise etc is helpful but as a paraplegic this could prove interesting !
