Another deviation

Hi ladies,

Yep another hiccup.  Did get away for trip to Hervey Bay, able to have a good look around.  Apparently ticks all the boxes for a place to retire for my brother.  But I ended up visiting the hospital while there as I started coughing (blood clot which was rued out after scans)  Obviously had an infection somewhere as ESR and CRP were elevated.  They wanted to admit me but I didn't want to as we were returning home in 2 days time. Given antibiotics and warning (re further deterioration etc) and sent on my way.  Haven't had any chemo since 2nd December as pain was severe all down my spine and had increased pain meds to cope.  I assumed the pain was from  Inflammation from trip. Chemo was postpned for a week. At next appointment the following week, still experiencing pain and Onc brought forward the scans as apparantly the docetaxel side effects and ca15.3 kept increasing during the treatment.

Of course, the obvious result was further metastases to bones.  Onc was concerned with the pain I was experiencing in the T7 rib so has referred me to radiation onc. Have noticed that I have increased pain across hip area especially the right hip. Also have been experiencing a lot of dizzyness, which is apparently a side effect from Targin. So now been put on oxycontin for bone pain, with endone for break thru pain. Dizzyness has stopped.

See radiation oncology tomorrow for initial appointment.  Will obviously have another ct body scan and then the planning session.  Will know more then as to treatment. (I assume a Couple of zaps to area) then back to 5th line of chemo.  So what will that be?  Wait n see I suppose.  Anyone this far down the track?  Got ahy advice?  Sue:-)
