Good on you @bell59 for seeing a psych ..... sometimes it just all gets 'too much' and if they are a friendly shoulder to cry on & can give you coping mechanisms, all the better.
Such a shame hubby forgot your 25th xx. Mine is similar - but I am blaming his dementia for that. Try & find some good in every day ..... even if it is a coffee with friends, or treating yourself to something special now & then, even just a mango! YUM!
The AI side effects really are a pain ...... almost worse than the original diagnosis. :( Most Oncs continue to perpetuate the myth that there ARE no side effects & that we are all imagining it - well that is a load of CRAP!
Most of us 'put up with it' hopefully for the 5 year mark ..... but l would fully understand why some pull out of the tablets. They should only do so tho, after thorough discussion of pros & cons with Onc & others 'in the know' ..... as sadly, staying ON the meds isn't a gold guarantee that there won't be a recurrence, either! :( They don't always tell us that.
