Hi Nicole,
I also had 12 weeks of weekly Taxol and can honestly say there were no bad side effects until the very last week when I became a bit dizzy. However I did have Dexamethsone tablets before and after treatment days, and Navoban for 2 days after. There was no nausea, just a mild tingling in my toes at night, and I found a glass of milk stopped this straight away. I didn't lose fingernails, but they became brittle and I kept them very short. There was about a 2 kg weight gain, but with subsequent exercise and the 5:2 fast diet (recommended by my MO) I have since lost 7kg and feel really fit. I am now in the 18-25 BMI range. My Taxol started 3 years ago this month (8/5/12) and life is now back to normal. You will get there too. Taxol is a more comfortable chemo than others - I hope you experience this, too. Let us know how things are going for you. Big hug. xxx Michelle
