  • I've been posted missing for a while now. I've not had any pain from the injections but felt extremley shakey and nervous which isn't like me.  I had my injection on Thursday and felt really anxious on Friday and throughout the weekend. I ended up taking one of my anti nausea tablets that contained a mild sedative and have pretty much slept since Friday. I have a funny tight feeling in my chest even when I'm drinking water but I don't know if thats the steriods.

Don't know if this helps but my onologist recommended I take calcium with combined vitamin d supplement throughout my treatment. Fortunately I haven't had any bone pain.

  • Yayyyyy final chemo, what a great achievement jenfurgal.  The countdown is on.  I know you will be apprehensive as you are with every one of your chemo sessions, about the side effects. Hopefully you will get through this one and then start to improve and slowly bounce back.

It is a wonderful milestone to make it through your chemo so I hope you do something nice to celebrate.

Wishing you well and a lot less pain.  Lots of love always, Mich xoxoxo

  • Sorry I took so long to get back to you I did have a strange back pain for a day or so after the injections otherwise no other side effects to speak of. It is hard to know when you are having chemo you feel so bad anyway.  I am having my final chemo in 3 days. Not looking forward to that.

  • Hi girls Hope you are all doing ok. Did any of you have side effects from the injection. I had to have one the day after my second chemo and two days later I thought I was dying. Not sure if the epigastric pain and body aches, to mention a few, are from the chemo or the injection Take care Jan
  • Hi Gilliann It is day 9 after 3rd chemo and it has been really rough with the yukky chemo symptons but have managed to avoid hospital so far which is great. If I can do it on the last one that wuld be great.

then I have to start 6 weeks radiation and have beeen told that it is not very pleasant either, cant be worse than chemo can it?????

  • Hey Jen

I am here to chat away anytime you like.  I hope you have lots of love and support surrounding you through this time.  Mind you sometimes you just want to be on your own.  There needs to be a fine line with that.

Nurture yourself through this time.  I know how tough it is but it is doable and I am sure you are strong kiddo so you can do it.  Thinking of you and have everything crossed so doing my penguin walk for you luvly.

Take very good care of yourself and chat back soon.

Lots of love always, Mich xoxoxoxo

  • Yes we do seem to have a lot in common except you live near the sea lucky you. I am feeling ok at the moment and hope that I dont have to go to hospital again this time although when you are feeling really sick it is the best place to be, Thanks for replying it is good to talk to someone about how you are feeling.

  • Hey Jen

You are the same age as me and my kids are also grown, married and produced three precious grandchildren so far so we have a bit in common.  I have two lil girl grandees and one little boy grandee.  They keep us going every day don't they.

Congrats on 3 down.  I hope the Neulasta does the trick and keeps you out of hospital.  Fingers crossed.

Lots of love always, Mich xoxoxoox
