1st Chemo
I am day 5 past 1st Chemo and on the whole it has not been as bad as I thought. Feeling ordinary since day 3 and needing lots of rest. Woke with a very sore throat this morning, no temperature. Hopef...
The sore throat is something a lot of us get, especially that first chemo or even if you swap to a new chemo. Good that you are keeping an eye on your temperature. I had issues with oral thrush (caused from a dry mouth thanks to chemo) which made my throat sore. My oncologist prescribed something for the thrush but I found this a problem each time on Docetaxel.
Let your oncologist know about this side effect so they can prescribe something if you need it for next time. Biotene mouthwash and toothpaste can help with the dry mouth. Take care. Deanne xxx
