1st chemo done and dusted
Today I started the next part of my journey; I had my first round of chemo. It's a very surreal experience.... sitting there and having major chemicals pumped into my body but actually feeling good. I think that not feeling sick has actually made it a stranger experience, one of the first questions people ask is 'do you feel sick'.... nope feel just like I did the day before the diagnoses.
I’m having 3 cycles of Fluorouracil, Epirubicin, Cyclophosphamide and 3 cycles of Docetaxel.
I have a bit of a headache and a little nauseousness but ginger seems to be helping, it could be worse lol
If anyone has any tips or tricks to handling the side effects, please pass them on.
1 down, 5 to go.
Cheers xxx

- Robyn_WMemberSame here Silke.I completely forgot about the constipation!!!How I could forget something as terrible as that I will never know!! I ended up just taking the medication they gave me,the same as I did with the pramin, for the first few days or so.Hope you are going well.Cheers xoxRobyn
- SilksMemberThe only thing I could add to that is to make sure that if you are showing any signs of constipation to get on to it early! I had terrible trouble with it and it has taken me 5 weeks to get things to a manageable state. Like Robyn, I also take my Pramin every 4 hours day and night, even when I'm not feeling nauseas for the first 4-5 days and Drink, drink, drink. Go well xx Silke
