Saw this today online and was going to start a thread “ I remember when I was young ....” and in the light of @InkPetal above thought might be a hoot here.
As a youngster we had stormwater drains nearby -very attractive to kids looking for tadpoles but also very dangerous .After being told for the umpteenth time not to go I remember being attached by my braces to the Hills Hoist.
