Seromas are the pits!! While massaging my seroma, my lymphoedema therapist said, "You know there is a lump there?". No I didn't (me and lumps aren't good either!). So off to my surgeon - yes, he could feel it too, smooth, hard, a definite lump but he didn't know what it was. So at five minutes to five, off to the ultrasound technician to see if she would kindly have a look then and there. On the couch, rev up the machine. "Yes" she said cheerfully, "It's a seroma". Duh, I thought of course it is, but what's the lump?? "It's a seroma", she explained patiently. "It's a seroma inside the seroma". I had babushka seromas!! You know, the little painted, nested Russian dolls! Who knew it was even possible? I hope you have good news and something that's only silly. Best wishes.
