period after Tamoxefen
Hi, just wanted to know if anyone got their period again after Tamoxifen treatment.
I was premenopausal when diagnosed. Finishing tamoxifen soon after taking it for 5 years.have had a few days of bleeding not sure if this is a period because I was told I was menopausal as I haven't had a period for more than 6 and a half years.

I have heard of this happening. A friend of mine was on tamoxifen for treatment and was permenopausal pre treatment and once they stopped tamoxifen they got a period. In my friends case they put her back on tamoxifen. She was 40 when diagnosed and 5 yrs on tamoxifen and then put back on tamoxifen for a further 2 years. We are all different as you know but perhaps chat to your oncologist about what had happened and get their advice. - A visit to your GP will help determine where you are at with menopause.
