I have been on Arimidex for 7 years now and the joint pain is now more just an inconvenience and only occasionally. Is mainly in my hands. I walk every day (usually around 5k) which takes about an hour but as we live in North Brisbane the weather makes it very easy to get out and about. I am certain that the walking has eased the hip and knee pains. I was struggling on the Arimidex to start with and had severe mood swings but after the reconstruction (Diep) 2 years ago I sort of had an epiphany, lol. My whole attitude to life changed and I couldn't be happier. I really like being me and I am in a very happy place and I love my new body!!! I give thanks to my plastic surgeon every day lol.
Stick with the hormone treatment if you can. It does get easier :)
