- onemargieMemberhell yes its normal to feel that way! you feel protected to some degree with the chemo I had 8 rounds 2 weeks apart for triple neg bc and now as mines not hormone receptive I don't take any post chemo meds such as tamoxifen etc so I have nothing to feel protected as such from recurrence hence why I took both boobs off, luckily no lymph nodes involved and all my scans were clear so that reduces the recurrence risk again but you need to try and keep yourself busy that helps heaps along with the gals on this forum. Margie :)
- NannatashMemberThankyou and all the best x
- HulosMemberHi Nanatash, i am having my last chemo next Tuesday, total of 16. I am just so tired of it and can't wait for it to end so the next part of my mile stone can commence (op and radiation ).
I am on Letrozole , it doesnt seem have much side effects for me other than slight knee pain.
There are other ladies on this forum who will be able to give you information re tamoxafin.
Take care and best wishes on your journey...xxx - primekMemberYes definetly normal. You so look forward to the finish but it's a bit of an anticlimax as our normal fears creep in there. I didn't really feel more like it was over for a few weeks after life started creeping back in. You suddenly have more time again without all tbe tests and appointments. Might be time to plan something special ...like a short trip unrelated to an appointment maybe. Congratulations on completing chemo. Woohoo.
- fairydustMember@Nannatash felt the same way at end of chemo. I think we underestimate the build up of chemo in our body and the effect it is having on us.
The other thing doctors and nurses deal with chemo etc every day for them it is normal. It is not normal for us. Now another journey starts with Tamoxafin.I didnt take it but many ladies here have and will see you thru best wishes - Cate64Member@Nannatash I think we all go thru that same feeling when Chemo is coming to an end...
- NannatashMemberThankyou for reply sometimes its better to as the people going through this c thing instead of Dr's as they haven't had what we all experiences I feel <3
- ZoffielMemberYep. Normal as.
- SoldierCrabMemberHi Nannatash yes it is normal to feel that way.... you have done really well and you feel like the carpet has been pulled out from under you if you are like I was back at that stage of the roller coaster ride.
Others will give you some information about Tamoxafin I dont take that so cant comment on it.
Congratulations. you are dealing with the roller coaster and kicking Cancers butt.
