Hormone inhibitors
Hello all
I finished my radiation therapy without too many problems. I'm booked in to have a bone density scan on the 12th and will see my specialist on the 19th as she intends to put me on oestrogen inhibitors..
Has any one had any bad side effects or any information that may help me. I'm not 100% sure if I want to take these - are they worth the side effects that can/may happen?
Any comments and advice would be very much appreciated <3

- StorkMemberI have been on Tamoxifen for a year touch wood no side effects
- Kiwi_AngelMember@PatsyN - bloody hell - that’s a lot!!
- PatsyNMember@"Kiwi Angel" The last 20 years have seen me work my butt off, self employed, as a single mother and 3 of my 5 kids with mental illnesses. I was unknown to the Social Services people and when I was diagnosed with breast cancer I didn't even possess a healthcare card. They made me go into their office in Byron Bay 3 times to get it in the middle of AC chemo. Couldn't be done online. I also was summoned for jury duty 3 TIMES in the last 12 months, lol.
- Kiwi_AngelMember@PatsyN @Blondy both of u look fabulous.
- PatsyNMember@Blondy I haven't had a husband in over 20 years. After 5 children to 3 fathers I decided to call it quits in the marriage department. My oldest is 44 and my youngest is 20. The 20 yr old has kept me young and introduced me to anything new immediately, including Snapchat. I am very social media savvy, haha.
You look fabulous - great sex will do that to a girl everytime - dam breast cancer or not! - Kiwi_AngelMember@PatsyN - good to hear :p
- BlondyMemberPatsyN that's good to hear. I'm 68 going on 18 my husband is 50. Go figure. Let me say this, things are hotting up.
- PatsyNMember@Blondy and @"Kiwi Angel" I'm nearly 64 and my libido has increased slightly every day since I was born, haha. I heard terrible tales about menopause. I felt like I was coming out of puberty with a whole new world to explore. The Arimidex that I'm now taking has not had any effect on my sensual urges but, like when I was on chemo, everything is in slow motion, like the rest of my life. Luckily, I'm in no hurry!
- Kiwi_AngelMember@Blondy hopefully and I’m sure my hubby agrees :D
