No research or specialist in this area, just experience. I was on Wegovy before diagnosis. Menopause weight gain in an active early fifties, healthy eating female. The Wegovy took away all the crazy food noise I had been experiencing through peri and menopause. I am a great advocate, albeit a new drug. The benefits of the loss of 10kgs before my DIEP surgery outweighed the risk of a new drug - my experience. I took both Wegovy and Letrozole for 2 months together post diagnosis and pre surgery and I had no side effects. I stopped taking Wegovy over the last 3 months since my Diep surgery and I have continued the Letrozole. I now have significant hot flushes. In addition some other potential side effects re: muscle/ joint stifffness but not sure if that is post surgery related. It’s anecdotal but it’s what I experienced. My GP is okay for me to use both in conjunction in future. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
