Thank you also to the other members who have commented on the posting. You are all wonderful brave positive women.
I had a mastectomy for DCIS and was told by the Oncologist that it would make no difference to take Tamoxifen so I haven't. Chemo or radiation was not even mentioned as the mastectomy would do the job. Mine was not skin or nipple sparing.
Being in a regional area I do wonder if all those working in the field are keeping up to date with trends and take queries and concerns a bit too lightly. Maybe your post will ensure other ladies don't stop asking if they feel something is not right.
