@TonyaM it is interesting, I agree, I absolutely would not have done Radiation in hindsight, I have constant cramping in the chest and back as a result, plus ended up with a heart ablation due to it. I believe it's for the most part genetic we just havent found the mutations for BC. Its the ONLY thing that will determine if you get it again or not.
I too had a Basal Cell Carcinoma cut out last year on the bridge of my nose, 2 weeks before my Dad passed away. Yes I dont know I had very wide margins and my recurrence was in the scar tissue of the lumpectomy not the tissue, so it wouldnt have mattered. Odd isnt it..and I know this happens alot.
In hindsight I wouldve just had a double mastectomy with immediate diep flap recon and no treatment :D just an AI. I think our paths tell us alot after the fact.
