Thank you @MvB. I am OKish. Up and down as I'm sure you understand.
The genetic testing I did was a spit test. It cost about $400 and was sent to the San Francisco to be processed. They can do it here but it takes months as there are only a couple of places that do it, and of course it costs lots of $$. It looks for 61 different genetic mutations. Only a few are linked with BC. It's fscinating stuff.
I was certainly pleased that the oncotype test provided a clear yes for chemo. I was sick of grey areas by that stage. It was a grotty unpleasant experience but I have zero regrets. I've done all I can.
I do worry about my chest wall. My tumour was deep and my BS said he had to dig into my chest wall to get it out. I've had a reconstruction so there's just no way of knowing what's going on in there. I'm having to adjust myself to the fact that there's nothing I can do except cross my fingers. I'll be keeping them crossed for you too. K xox
