I've had the BraOvo (?) test @MvB as my sister got breast cancer young and later died of it. It may be worth seeing a genetic oncologist - if you have enough evidence that it could be familial (from memory, mine was based on my sister and also a cousin who died from a different cancer in her 50s), this test is totally subsidised. Mine came back negative for the KNOWN genes but will be reviewed as time and discoveries go on. The genetic onc also discussed my daughters (currently young teens) and advised that they should start being screened at 30.
