@Joannie I do the same, the overlooking, a Stage 0 melanoma off my left calf. I have an annual mole check.
After all the events of the previous two years I got to September and thought I better pay attention to me. Mole check, pap smear, allergy specialist, lung function, mammogram... And then it all came to a grinding halt. Thank goodness I was sensible. My tumour was very deep in a big boob. It would have been such a long time before it was palpable. I would have been in serious trouble. It pays to be anal about this stuff eh?
