After a break, Letrozole, continued...
Drug holiday over, today I started taking Letrozole again. At night this time. Don't know that it will make any difference but worth a try.
If/when (she said optimistically) the side effects return, I'll start my curcumin trial.
It's been really really good to be pain (and dandruff) free for a few weeks. I feel it's given me a boost, and more strength to continue.
If the side effects don't settle down my oncologist was quite keen to put me onto Tamoxifen. From what I've read here I'm not so sure. Better the devil you know...?

- kitkatbMember@kmakm I also swapped taking my Letrozole but from evening to morning instead as i found it was taking me a couple of hours to get to sleep which sucked big time. For me it made a difference with getting some sleep. It really is just trial and error for sure.Sign in to react to this post

- FlaneuseMember@kmakm I find some relief for my hands in using Voltaren gel as a "hand lotion" at bedtime - and at bad times during the day.Sign in to react to this post
- kmakmMember@Flaneuse It might just be the side effects settling down. We'll never know but hey, I'll take a reduction in pain any day. Real or imagined!Sign in to react to this post
- FlaneuseMember@kmakm I started taking my Letrozole with dinner, about a month ago. I might be imagining it, but I feel it might be just marginally better.Sign in to react to this post

- kmakmMember@"Patti J" I was never a pill taker before BC. I don't like putting all these chemicals into my body. But needs must and if they're stopping the return of the cancer, then good. I hope there's a day when I don't have to, and I know you don't have that option. Hang in there.Sign in to react to this post
- kmakmMember@arpie I'm not sure yet as I haven't bought it. I did have a chat with the lovely Tom the Pharmacist, and he said I have to take the one which is most bio-available, as in, most easily absorbed by the human body. It is of course the most expensive one... The brand is BioCeuticals. I'll let you know if/when I start it.Sign in to react to this post
- Patti_JMemberThanks @iserbrown. Any medication should give us quality of life.
I see my oncologist in two weeks time. She has been more concerned with the side effects of Palbociclib up to this point, which at the moment is low neutrophils.Sign in to react to this post
