I too for the first time in many years could not go to the Biggest Morning Tea (in past years I have been the organiser).
This year it was just all too traumatic and emotional that I decided a few days ago that it was in my best interests not to attend.
A little bit of me was peevish at being trotted out as the token "cancer battler".
True God, that statement was said to me a few days ago when I quietly said that I would not be attending.
So thankyou, dear soldiercrab, for helping me to feel that I was not an orphan in my feelings.
