@kmakm - I have 2 oils - one CBD (no THC) & one with THC. I take the CBD 3 x daily, the THC only the once at night and have had no problem with feeling stoned or 'high' at all. And the end result is that I am sleeping way better than I have for 18 months. You are only taking 5-10 drops once a day with the THC oil (starting at about 5 drops for a few days & increasing if not effective - so about 1/10 of 1 ml - not very much at all.)
There are 20 'drops' in 1ml of liquid.
To put that into perspective - a teaspoon is approx 5mls. Separate that into a '5 single mls' & then divide that 1ml by 4 = 5 drops (which is the 'medium' dose.) The quantity taken is 'tiny' and is applied with a dropper that is marked at .25ml & .5ml & I am using about 'half' of the .25ml marked level (a guess at about .12ml or up to 10 drops, probably less.)
My understanding of accupuncture is that it treats the symptoms, but it doesn't fix/cure the problem. So the needles interrupt the pain path of the nerves, stopping it from telling the brain that you are in pain. When removed, there may be a residual 'pain free period' but the pain will return.
I've gone back to wearing the Thumb restraint on my left hand, to prevent me from accidentally knocking it & over extending it! grrrr
