Drug holiday over, today I started taking Letrozole again. At night this time. Don't know that it will make any difference but worth a try. If/when (she said optimistically) the side effects return...

Bit of a breakthrough on the acupuncture front today. I woke with all over aches and pains. My left big toe made me yelp with pain even before I got out of bed. Seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why somes days are worse than others.
I conveyed the general punching bag condition to the acupuncturist (my third session), and commenced placing the needles (now using the "baby needles" as my system is "sensitive"). He enquired as to exactly where my thumb pain was (the base, in the thumb pad area) and inserted the needles in my feet. Within 30 seconds the pain had stopped and it has not yet returned. It's very strange to flex my hands and feel the pain in my joints, but not in the base of my thumb, where it's always been the worst.
Interestingly, he says I am very unusual because I am a "same side person". Areas are usually treated from the opposite side, right foot for left hand etc. I'm right for right, left for left. The things you learn eh?
Though I do wish I could be special for better reasons, like an amazing singing voice, or my ability to eat as much as I like without gaining weight, or the knack of picking the winning numbers in Tattslotto...
