I did a lot of diet changes before bc - low fat milk, yoghurt; vegetarian in the household encouraged meat free meals; lots of fish; olive
oli margerine. After discussion with both my surgeon and cardiologist on an overseas study about dairy fat, and their considered views on potential triggers and cumulative effects, I reduced my cheese intake and cut out triple cream Brie! The latter is much more delicious than a lump of lard but probably has about the same nutritional value. Do I miss it? A bit, but not enough to resume consumption. I don't know if this has anything to do with not having aches or hot flushes on AIs (it hasn't done a thing for vaginal atrophy!) - quite possibly nothing at all.
