Aching legs
Hello ladies!!!I I was wondering if anyone on Tamoxifen has experienced aching calf muscles during the night. Almost like a cramp? I haven't changed anything else,so can't work out what it would be from. Thanks in advance for any replies! Cheers xox Robyn

- Robyn_WMemberI would say that it is because of the Magnesium, judging by the answers on here.I started last night,so I will give it a couple of days. What other supplements do you take,if you don't mind me asking.xoxRobyn
- Robyn_WMemberHi Fiona,I did read that they were a side effect, but because I have been on Tamoxifen for a while now,I wasn't sure if it could be that.Hope you are well:) Robyn xox
- fionafMemberHi Robyn Just thought you might want to know that Leg cramps are listed as an 'occasional side effect' of tamoxifen. I have also heard of people taking magnesium for cramping. Best wishes Fiona

I get the "jimmy"legs now and again at night.I get up and have a warm milo and 2 panadol and that fixes it.But I've heard Magnesium helps so I might give it a go - what's one more tablet to swallow!! Tonya xx

Hi Robyn,
I too am on Tamoxfin and also have osteoporosis. I have been seeing a naturopath and she has been working with me on functional and nutritional support post breast cancer and adrenal support post hysterectomy and cancer.
She has me taking 2 MagCitrate capsules each night before bed to support stress and calcium absorption.
I had been getting some leg cramps at night but haven't had any for a while. You have got me wondering if this is a result of the magnesium capsules as I haven't had any since commencing these tablets.
Helen.
- Robyn_WMemberHello Jodie, how are you managing on Tamoxifen?I feel like I should have been on magnesium before! I take Vitamin D every day,but that's about all.Nice to hear from you.Take care.xoxRobyn
- Robyn_WMemberHi Julia,I thought it was the Tamoxifen too. I will post on here and let you know about the magnesium.Perhaps you could try it also if it works for me.Cheers xoxRobyn

Yeah, I have had some painful leg cramps at night but mostly I get aches in both legs often, I have thought it was the tamoxifen.

- Robyn_WMemberThanks Viv .I am going to try the magnesium, and also increase foods such as bananas, nuts, dried apricots, and any spinach. These are all good sources of potassium / magnesium.I will post as to how I go.I have been having them every night,so if they stop,I feel sure it will be because of the magnesium. My poor husband works shift work, and he is not getting much sleep with me moving all night!!Cheers xoxRobynk
