A side effect Chart for most of the Hormone/AI tablets ... on one page

Yes @arpie I'm learning to peel potatoes with my left hand. My husband sometimes has to undo my bra for me of a night time (don't get too many ideas!) and yes a myriad of other everyday activites. Even then it still catches me and I'm left swearing in pain.

Letrozole side effects listed in the official leaflet. It's a loooooong list...

Gosh,@Artferret ... that looks SO swollen on the top of your hand ..... I can still see my bones & blood vessels .... I can't grip really well tho, or form a fist - I dropped an egg the other day onto the hot stove top - that made a real mess!  I've invented new ways of holding cups & all sorts of things ..... I can't wind the window in my car up or down or tear open an envelope .... using a can opener is almost impossible, as is the pepper grinder .... so many 'little things' that become a big thing!  It's definitely affecting my ukulele playing & now, my fishing.  grrrr   I have added the loss of libido to Letrozole.

I'll whack it in @Sister - as well as mood swings & depression - I am pretty sure many on Letrozole would have those as well?  I've already added it for Exemestane/Aromasin.  I don't think many would say they haven't had them.

I'll be 54 this month, started menopause round 51? I had it pretty easy no massive flushes and vaginal atrophy was minimal. My sleep was already stuffed,  i blame my youngest daughter from when she started teething at 4months and didn't stop till she was nearly 2 😬
I never slept well after that. Yes you can add loss of libido to your list for letrozole. This is my right hand. When i turn my palm up i can't move it beyond where it is in the photo.

I think it possibly should be as I've seen it come up on forums - not sure how common it is, though.

@Sister - would you like 'cold sensitive teeth' added to the Letrozole side effects?  Often people only say 'Yes, that is happening to me' only when they see it on the list - so more than happy to add it.  My teeth have been more brittle than anything & I've had a few bust in the last 5 years, having them rebuilt with resin (but I think I have a few years on you!! And it is relatively normal as we age.)  I used to be 'cold sensitive' - even sucking in air would set me of (tho that probably indicated a cavity!) - it happens less so now as I use 'Sensitive Gum' toothpaste & have done for the last 20 years!

Thanks @Artferret  ... Well done on all the exercise & diet!!  I rely mainly on my kayaking & fishing! (My kayak is a pedal one, so I get lots of leg exercise too & a thousand casts for my upper body workout.)  Lucky you re the libido thing - still having it post natural menopause!  Can you give me your rough age?  I started menopause in my early 40s & didn't finish til about 55 - and vaginal atrophy in particular was just a shocker - as well as all the other culprits, hot flushes, depression, stuffed sleep, etc.  I tried HRT creams but then had a breast scare with a mammogram (due to the testosterone component), so went off it.  I can only imagine how frustrating it is for both you and your hubby.   Would you like  'loss of libido' to be added for Letrozole?  So far it is only on for Tamoxifen.

My hands, whilst incredibly stiff, sore & aching 24/7 ..... there is no swelling - almost the opposite.  At the base of the thumb, the 'muscle pad' is  not a pad - it is a hole (in both hands.)  :(  

@arpie i didn't need chemo, was post menopausal when i went on letrozole in Nov 2017. My libido was good up until bc in mid 2017 and was still ok till round December last year which is about the time the joint pain in my hands ramped up and a few other places in my body have got stiffer as well. I'm at the gym 3-4 times a week, plus i have a regular session with my osteo who is horrified at the state of my right hand, swollen and sore. It doesn't stop me from doing what what i want to do i just modify the way i do it...use it or lose it is my motto, plus I'm  a stubborn git! It also doesn't help libido wise having a hubby who no longer has a prostate due to cancer and as a result can't get it up. The erectile drugs can be hit and miss. It's improving but it's going to be a long slow process. We still have a healthy sex life it's just not the same anymore which frustrates me from time to time so maybe that part in my brain hasn't resolved that yet and therefore is affecting my libido as well as the drug. Oestrogen seems to have its finger in a lot of pies in our body and when you don't have much anymore...
As for weight gain...not happening...prob due to the low cholesterol diet I'm on and the exercise i do. Exemestane is a steroid based drug which would explain the weight gain.
No problems with my teeth either. 

Haven't noticed any issues with my teeth @Sister, but have to be very careful because of Xgeva and other medications.
Last time I had my teeth cleaned ultrasonicly. It was so much quicker and better than all of the other little instruments.

Hi @melclarity     Femara/Letrozole was already on the original  list as 'weight gain' side effect and I added it to Aromasin/Exemestane as I personally have noticed it with my own weight gain & am pretty sure others had mentioned it along the way.  I am not sure who is on Arimidex/Anastrozole who've put side effects up anywhere.  Happy to add any that they feel should be on the list  ;)
