The local hospital in town and I are the best of friends. You could say that I am a regular and thus am well known.
Our local hospital has kangaroo on the lunch menu either as a roast or stew. The leftover roast roo is served as sandwiches in the evening for tea.
Now I don't eat skippy, roasted or stewed, so on the days that roo is on the menu, the meal pickings are lean.
Thank God, that one of the domestics is a very good friend. Her husband owns the local chinese takeaway. She often sneaks in a chow mein for me.
I am waiting for the day that goanna is on the menu. I just hope that it won't be 'road kill'.
