good evening lovelies...I really want to get rid of these kilos I’ve put on over the last 12 months...I’ve been thinking of doing the Modere Detox/Diet. Has anyone tried this or know of anyone that has? Thank you Nellie xx

- HendrixMember@SoldierCrab my GP wants to see me and I know it’s to do with recent blood tests and my diabetes lol during first week of each chemo round my sugar levels hit 30...they averaged 12 after that then I cut out carbs and was going really good and managed to get down to 6...then Easter happened why would my family put the temptation in front of me...lol

I have found the book great and the recipes even my autistic son likes them... that is a major step for me.... - kmakmMember@iserbrown When all this current drama is over I want to see an endocrinologist again. I haven't seen one since I was diagnosed. I do wonder if anything's changed in the field since then, and if I need to be on 125mg. Plus now I'm in menopause. It's all change.
- wendy55MemberSeems to be a lot of this around, I am on 75 mg of Thyroxine daily and 20mg of Tertroxin every other day, have had thyroid problems since was diagnosed at 21 I am now 62, and with being on different chemos over the last 4 and a half years it has been interesting to say the least to try and keep everything as near as normal as possible, first off I had graves disease and then it completely changed around so have no thryroid at all now and just have to rely on blood tests plus how I feel to determine how much I take, if its not BC its something else!!! quite a few ladies on this forum have thyroid problems also.
wendy55 - iserbrownMemberThanks! I was on 100mg and now on 125mg but still not quite right! Drives me nutty!
- kmakmMember@iserbrown I have an underperforming thyroid too, Hashimoto's Disease. I was diagnosed 15 years ago after my second child was born when I had long runs of my heart missing beats. It was very uncomfortable and quite alarming. I take 100mg of thyroxine per day which stopped that, and made me a lot less tired and headachey. I hope you get yours sorted out soon. K xox
- HendrixMember@SoldierCrab I bought the book plus the recipe book...I hope I have as much success as you. xx
- HendrixMemberYou ladies are so funny lol @SoldierCrab well done I might look into..thank you xx

Lost 10kgs in 10weeks so far
I was brought up the food pyramid, something from each food group every day plus drinking water. It was part of our cookery classes at school and my Mum, who was always stable in her weight around 8 stone (yeah I know old language) made sure that is how we had our meals.
Come forward to now and for me under active thyroid and medication still being sorted is a huge problem combined with side effects from Tamoxifen and it is still about fatigue. Another blood test next week to see if the new medication has made any difference. Answer I don't think so, my fatigue instead of being around 9.30-10am has now shifted to 3.30...........oh well hopefully it will get sorted one day and I can be something like my old self before this BC started.
For anyone else on here that maybe going through what I am
