Women's Expo
HI Ladies! Well, I have now experienced my first BCNA promo event. It felt great. I had a table at the Women's Expo that a Relay For Life team was running in Mandurah on Friday night. The co-ordinato...
It's great what you achieved by being "squeezed" into a little space ..... imagine what you could have achieved if you had a whole football oval LoL !!!
It's totally amazing how people are willing to support a worthwhile cause ... and that's what sharing knowledge is all about.
My little idea of turning Wentworth pink has grown to such an extent that we now have a cast as big as Ben Hur!!!
Clusters of little pink ladies have sprung up in every shop window in town - including the pubs (with collection tins), the bank and club (with merchandise sales points), even the tattoo parlour!!!
The local IGA supermarket is giving BCNA a charity Community Chest Day, the Capt Sturt Hotel (one of my support groups) is having a PINK event next week with money from pizza sales, raffles and a percentage of bar drinks being donated. The staff at the Council is having a pink morning tea on the 25th and the Tourist office is phoning the town businesses and asking that employees be allowed to wear pink for the day.
The Mini Field of Women will be on the wharf lawns on Sunday 31st with the decorated Paddlesteamer RUBY in the background. Our local club is turning it's Melbourne Cup ladies afternoon into a "Pink" afternoon.
I've even been asked to organise a team of ladies to drive a pink tractor in a rally next June .... that should be good for a laugh or two!!!!
Someone asked me what I was going to do next month ... after I've taken all of the decorations down etc etc .... told them I was going to give my brain a little rest then start planning for next year..... which isn't all that far away!!!
Cheers .... Shirl xxx
