Sorry to hear the cap turned out stressful, but honestly - I found having no hair during chemo a huge hassle saver. Once showering became a chore I was counting my blessings that I didn't have to lather and rinse!
Look Good Feel Better is great! I had so much fun. Put your hand up to have examples done on you and wigs put on if you're game, I found it more fun once I got really involved. They're very respectful and won't make a show of anyone who just wants to sink into the background, which you may want to do, but the room will be filled with other people going through the same kind of changes, or about to. :heart:
