What pets do you have?
I am interested what pets every one has. I have two old Standard Schnauzers (one of which knew I had breast cancer but I fobbed his sniffing off as being a sticky beak at the time), a rosella called Arnie because he will rip your fingers off like Arnold Schwartzeneggar as quick as you like and he is the boss of us. I also have about 15 aquariums with mostly pleco L number catfish and guppies and cherry shrimp.

My eldest took the older one to the vet years ago & spelt her name FeeBee !! lol - This is my boy Max who doesn't speak much, shed hair or need to walk!! He is actually waiting for our new red mini poodle to be born and come to live with us. I am like an expectant mother buying beds, toys and leads. Roll on November I say -it has been 7 years since my lovely labradors died aged 15. It feels like time
- Thanks @kmakm I think he is gorgeous! I spend a lot of time at home and he comes swimming over every time I look at him. I'm sure its because he adores me, and not just for food hehe :smile:

Beagles. Hmmm. They can be busy headed and robust enough to engineer their own escape routes,
I've had 2 Xbreeds over the years and they were great dogs but I spent far too much time looking for them after they had burrowed, chewed or climbed their way out of the yard the minute they were left alone. Even if they had other canine company.
I could not figure out how one was getting out until I did some stealth surveillance and watched him wedge himself between the house and the side fence, wriggle upwards until he could stand on the fence, get onto the veranda trot to the front of the house, jump onto the wheelie bin and then swagger off to raid the garbage at the chicken shop a couple of blocks away. How the hell did he figure that out, no one taught him? There is a reason they are so sought after as customs dogs, no lack of drive and imagination.
The Hound is far too dumb and inflexible to devise any complex strategies and any more than 5 minutes intense concentration wipes her out for 8 hours. If she ever realises she can get just jump a fence, there will be trouble.
- I have a fish ... AND it's survived me for a whole month now :smile: We're not supposed to have animals here, but I just couldn't go another day without something so about a month ago I got a little Betta fish. Bubbles is surprisingly so much fun, even playful! I've never had a fish survive before, so cross your fingers for me :smile:
- Sadly, we have none of our own - but one neighbour has a Shitzu Cross and our other neighbour is the local vet - and they have 1 x 3 legged cat & 4 Rescue Dogs ...... so we get our share of pets to pat! I am actually thinking of putting a "Beware of the Dog'' sign on both our side gates ..... cos I reckon they'd all go ballistic if anyone entered after dark!! They currently have 15 Beagle Crosses at their Rescue hospital that are all desexed & inoculated & Chipped .... and almost ready for new homes - with plenty of people putting their hands up already. They are GORGEOUS!!
We DID have a possum that took up residence on our back steps .... but he was a bit mangey so our Vet neighbours have taken him to their hospital for treatment!My girlfriend had 2 miniature Schnauzers but sadly a black snake bit one late last year, so only 1 left now. :( He was a Show Dog - but was gay - he just didn't like the ladies ..... so was neutered & sold to her!I reckon if I got a dog - it would be a Miniature Schnauzer - small, highly intelligent, great company & they don't shed!!
As kids, we had Cocker Spaniels & later a beautiful 'Lassie' Collie Dog .... but sadly had to give him up when we moved into a home unit .... :(

Now. .... if there was a "How Many Kids do you Have'' thread - I could also say 'NONE ...... married one! ;) ' - That is so cute to see them in the basket together like that @Stork!
