I'm so sorry you're having to go through a difficult emotional experience. From what you have described, I would say that the MRI has shown something that requires further investigation. It doesn't necessarily mean that it is a cancer. The best thing to do is take a deep breath and wait until you've seen the doctor at your appointment.
If it is something sinister then it's very fortunate that you had an MRI scan which has flagged it. The same thing happened to me - I was advised to have an MRI due to family history and my doctor told me that when you are younger, mammograms don't always pick up some cancers. I was shocked when I received a call from my doctor - with hindsight I feel so very fortunate that I am healthy now because I was vigilant and had that scan.
I know it's not easy to relax but it won't help you any to panic as there is probably nothing to panic about.
