Seriously, I couldn't have done it without you all and this forum. I've shared here about my conscious decision to be open and honest about the warts (figuratively not literally thank goodness!) and all of this experience in the hope that it could help people coming behind. When the BCNA asked me to write my story it seemed like a natural extension of what I've done, what many of us do here. I know I was asked because my story is more dramatic than many and so can cut through. But I hope I was able to honour our shared experience.
I had no idea the paper was going to go so big with my story. It was quite a shock.
@Michelle_R That's exactly why I did it, in the hope that someone would stop putting off getting that weird lump checked out.
