October get together !
Hello Ladies
After organizing our Melbourne ladies lunch in April , we thought we may have a weekend gathering to enable interstate ladies to come & meet us all.
At this stage the date is the weekend of 19th October in Melbourne .
I am more than happy to co-ordinate & organize ,but will need input from those wishing to attend .
Please give me you thoughts on …...
1. Are you coming ? - level of commitment & where you're coming from ?
2. Accommodation - City ? country ? Find you own accom ? Price you want to pay? Happy to stay in someone's home ?Apartments, hotels , Airbnbs ?
3.. Activities - Lunches, dinners , picnics , movies, theatre, winery tours or anything else you'd like to do .
This can go ahead with only a few people or a lot , but I will need to know ASAP of numbers especially if booking accom for everyone .

- I'll try and get there for a day depending on my roster. Needs must and all. I will let you know when I know. The plan is to drive to Seymour then train to the city and head home again the same day.
- Ladies , we'd love to have more of you join us for our Melbourne get together 19,20th October.
Several people will be staying in the city ,but for those only wanting to join for a day we will have lunch on the Sunday maybe preceded by a walk around the tan or a stroll in the Botanical gardens (weather permitting )
Saturday is to be casual , lunch , market visit , dinner and or anything else you may want to do.
Please come & join us , but let me know so we can book lunch

I'm happy with either place. I plan to book everything this week. I will be there for Friday and Saturday nights.
It would be great if you came along to the hiking shops, I am particularly interested in the Backpacking Light shop, always good to reduce the weight.

Janelle - @LittleBlueWren Atlantis has some great deals on trivago. Maybe we should reconsider?
- @LittleBlueWren I am hoping to book in to the Jasper for the weekend. Just need to double check with my new bosses on what day I can leave as I usually work weekends. I am happy to do the hiking shops with you. They often have great deals on little Bourke.
- What a wonderful weekend you lucky ladies have to look forward to. Lots of food, wine, laughter, networking & HUGS!!! So lovely of you to organise this @tigerbeth & I am sure all that attend will have memories to last a lifetime. Meeting up with forum friends is a special time so make the most of it. Unfortunately, I wont be able to attend as I will have just returned from a family visit to NZ! All the best for a fantastic weekend & look forward to hearing all about it & seeing some pics! xx
- I'm sorry that I can't make it but hoping you all have a fantastic time.
- I'm going to be there. I'll be available anytime over the weekend. I do plan to check out the hiking shops on Little Bourke St over the weekend but that is all that I have planned.
- @kmakm your suggestions are great ideas & am happy to organise what the majority would prefer.
Still the issue is the numbers attending , at the moment it seems we don't have anyone coming from interstate & only a few from regional Vic . @Afraser those restaurants sound like a good idea , will look into them .
Happy to still do Saturday & Sunday or only Sunday if that suits everyone.
