You have found the right place for support. Shirl has given some wonderful advice. The first few weeks were the hardest for me. I am 38 and have three children too (4,6 and 9). I am currently in hospital having my 2nd chemo and feel like it is doable.
You will find that the ladies here have lots of advice but more importantly willing "ears" for listening and "shoulders" for crying. Be true to yourself - there are no right or wrong ways about dealing with this. Vent, ask questions, simply let it out - it all helps.
