Made it to 5 years!
Today is my 5 year anniversary of surgery in 2012!
I think that's the day you take it from, even though treatment continued until the end of the year the actual cancer was cut out and gone on April 16th.
It's such a biggie, and I know not one of my friends and family will remember - but you all know how big it is!
This post is to give all our new sisters encouragement - all those day-by-day steps, our fears and our pain, our courage, just hanging in there at times - I hope it will help to read some good news.
I am somewhere between joy and bursting into tears.

- Well done Michelle, you are where we all want to be, I was always wondering too when the cancer free period started, I thought it was after you finished chemo, but if that's the case ill be 1 year free on May 28 as that's when I had my surgery and had no lymph nodes involved and my scans were clear so that's sooo exciting!! Margie

xx Michelle - Congratulations Michelle. As Adean says - on with the next five, ten, fifteen ....... Who leads us to believe that five years is great when really we know we will fight for more, despite the good old chemical companies and their statistics. Hoping you live to a ripe old age and get a card from the Queen/King/President/Prime Minister ! Summer :-)
