I was diagnosed in November 2012 had my 1st surgery on December 14th and yes Chrsitmas 2012 was stressful, I had a daunting future ahead of me with treamtnets looming and was scared it may be my last christmas. I asked my husband to take loads of photos of me with the family and I put myself under pressure.
Christmas 2013 was fantastic, 3 surgeries done, chemo done, radiation done in full remission from Breast and Renal cancer, I celebrated and felt no stress, in fact I missed a couple of doctor appointments as I just plain fogot!
So I suppose the answer is it depends on where exactly you are at on your journey and how much pressure you put on yourslef.
