Apologies for not saying a lot in the past few days. I've been going to Brisbane daily for a journalism workshop with the State Library. It involves an hour each way by train, a six hour day which is very full on, visits to television stations and newspaper offices and homework that I can barely stay awake to complete. But!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am loving it to bits. We were at Channel 10 at Mt Coot-Tha today. For those not in the know, Mt Coot-tha is just on the edge of the city and the television stations, 7, 9 and 10 are about 2/3rds of the way up the mountain. We were at the Brisbane Times yesterday (Fairfax online newspaper) and at the ABC studios, radio, television and online, on Wednesday.
This is my last big out and about event prior to chemo so I'm making the most of it. I get tired but I'm pulling a wheeled cabin bag instead of the usual backpack and I've found that Brisbane people as ever are fairly helpful and generous to me in lifting my bag down steps and finding me a seat.
At the moment I am just trying to stay awake for long enough to watch Miss Fishers Murders (my favourite program). I've missed the last 3 weeks because I've fallen asleep.
