Sounds like a good time to forget the mess (it will wait, I can prove it) and do your best to stay cool.
Last time I had to do this crap was the middle of winter, which had its problems but at least I could bundle up and get outside for some fresh air and the occasional bit of sun. Now I'm like a vampire, up at 4 am and locked inside by 9 to escape the heat. Which has to end soon, surely. And I live on my own, how you manage to 'granny' anyone in any capacity at the moment is a mystery--good on you!
